Farewell Levi!

Levi Stubbs, 1936-2008
Motown Legend

Levi Stubbs, the  lead singer of the Four Tops whose voice was featured on hits "Baby I Need Your Loving" and "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)," died on Friday, October 17th at the age of 72. Stubbs had been ill with a stroke and cancer.

I was fortunate enough to see the Four Tops in concert over a dozen times and they were my favorite singing group. I was their #1 fan! Levi has been silenced by death but the beauty of his music will live forever.

I didn't hear that! So sad. I love their music also. I'm so glad we have his recordings so we can listen to him forever :) What a wonderful gift he shared with us all!

I hadn't heard this! I heard them in concert too about 23 years ago!

Oh I didn't know that he passed away. I am so sorry to hear that. My husband and I always loved the 4 tops since we were dating. He is singing in heaven for sure.
