Weekly Update

Not much to report this week on the stitching front. I finally got a chance to drop off my Alla Turca piece at the framers and pick up my ornaments from my finisher. We've been busy at home with the painting/redoing of our bedroom so I will post pictures of those ornaments soon.

Can't wait to have this home improvement project behind me so I can focus once again on my stitching. I'm attending a stitching retreat at the Asilomar Conference Ground in Pacific Grove (near Monterey, CA) in two weeks which I am really looking forward to. These images alone bring tranquility.

It's done!!!

I have finally finished my Alla Turca by Pelin Tezer!! I put the final stitches in it last night and hope to drop it off at the framers before the end of the week. I just love how it turned out. This mystery SAL was a lot of fun.

Weekly Update

Happy to report that our kitchen sink is now unclogged so I was able to put away all the stuff we took out from underneath the sink. Of course that involved sorting out/throwing away things we no longer used so a simple task turned into a total reorganization. Thankfully it's all done and my kitchen it now clean and organized.

Organization is also taking place at work since our offices/work areas are being repainted and getting new carpeting. That's taken a few extra work hours so my stitching time has been somewhat limited this week.

I did work on my Alla Turca SAL (by Pelin Tezer) and was able to complete Part 6.
I also worked on organizing/cleaning my stash room. We had a treadmill in there that was just taking up space so we moved it into the garage and that give me a little more room. Here is what it looks like so far. Not much but it's mine!

Mid-Week Update

It's been a while since I posted and I can't really explain where the time has gone. Hubby and I are doing some some renovations/painting around the house so we've spent the last two weekends going to Lowe's, Home Depot, Best Buy and a few others. In the midst of that our kitchen sink is clogged and hubby can't seem to fix it so we hope the plumber can do something when he comes to the house on Friday. The stuff from under the sink is sitting on the floor and I just hate the clutter.

I have managed to get some stitching done and I finished this cute little piece by Paulette Stewart of Plum Street Samplers called Yankee Poodle. I added Part 7 to my Alla Turca by Pelin Tezer and hope to finish Part 8 by the weekend.
I stitched this Prairie Schooler piece (from the 1997 Just Cross Stitch ornament issue) for an exchange and finished it into an ornament and also finished my Glory piece by San-Man Originals which I stitched earlier this month.

Weekend Update

After having my family all together for Mother's Day, I was ready for some stitching once they all departed for home. One of the Yahoo groups I belong to is having a "freebies" SAL this month so I dug into my stash (wow, do I have a lot of freebies stored away!) and found two I wanted to stitch...well for starters. : )

I also added Part Five to my Alla Turca SAL and started a new piece by Little House Needleworks for our SAL in the LHN/CCN Yahoo group.

Weekend Update

I spent most of my week working on a new model which I was able to finish on Thursday evening and ship back to the designer on Friday.

My take-along project was another design from Christmas Past, Book #51 from Prairie Schooler. This upcoming week I hope to work on the 5th design from the booklet. These small designs are jut perfect for working on during my lunch hours and satisfy my urge to have a quick finish in the midst of my larger WIPs.
I also added Part II to Alla Turca, a mystery SAL by Pelin Tezer.

Weekly progress

I was feeling sick earlier this week so I spent a couple of days at home and mostly watched TV, stitched and slept. I was able to finish this great Lizzie Kate piece, called "Peace, Love and a Cure."
I also started a new mystery SAL by Pelin Tezer called "Alla Turca" which will be released in 9 parts. Part 1 is now completed. I am doing this one on 14 count Country French Soft Touch Aida in Antique Gold using DMC Variations 4240.
