Where has Milly been?

So where have I been for the past two weeks? During the week of June 12th to 18th we took some vacation days and spent the time in South Lake Tahoe, CA just a few blocks from the Nevada state line.
We left for Tahoe on Sunday after Patrick took part in the American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure Ride in Palo Alto, CA. Thanks to our friends and family we were able to met our goal and raised over $1000. Patrick rode as part of the Lockheed-Martin team who overall raised $140K for the cause. THANKS to those who were so generous with their donations.
We had a great time in Tahoe and got plenty of walking, hiking, cycling, reading, shopping, sightseeing and even a little gambling. The highlight of our trip was taking a steam engine from Carson City, NV into Virginia City, NV. The train was wonderful with a docent who told a colorful history of the steam engines and Virginia City. We explored the small town with plenty of saloons and LOTS of history. Loved it all, down to the prospector walking down the road leading his mule (or jackass).

This weekend I will post pictures to our photo blog. I've spent most of this week just trying to catch up at home and work.
