Quote of the week

"Smile, even it it's a sad smile, because sadder than a sad smile is the sadness of not knowing how to smile."

Weekly Update

With my husband out of town for a few days I had plenty of "me" time which I spent working on a few projects. I finished Rose Hill Plantation by Little House Needleworks and I'm very happy with the way it turned out.
I also completed Winter Sheep one of LHN's monthly ornaments. Just waiting on the JABC buttons to give it that final touch and then drop it off to the finishers.

Weekly Update

It was another busy week but I managed to make some progress on my projects. I worked on Rose Hill Plantation by Little House Needleworks and this is what I have so far. I'm stitching this on a piece of hand-dyed 14 count Aida I had in my stash. The fabric was a gift from my friend Jeanine and I've had it for almost 7 years. Guess it was time.
Last week I posted my WIPs and decided to tackle them one at a time until there are finished. Here is my progress on the Gameboard Sampler by Drawn Thread. As you can see I don't have much to go now. I realized when I took this photo that is project is almost 3 years old.
When I'm finished with Rose Hill Plantation I plan to start on a baby sampler for my grandson. I've chosen (with the help of my daughter in law Julie), A Child Is Born by My Big Toe Design.
On a personal note I was very saddened to learn of the passing of my best friend's mom. Esther and I have been friends since we were 16 and I spent lots of time at her house, so her mom was like a second mother to me. I'm so going to miss my dear mama Dolly.

Happy Birthday Sis!

I want to wish my sister Lucy a very happy birthday!! Miss you sis.

WIPs and such...

My friend TDee decided last weekend to update her blog with all her WIPs. Those of us in the same Yahoo group weren't sure if she was shaming us to confess our own WIPs or inspire us a bit. I choose to think of it has a nudge to finish those projects I so lovely started but somehow lost time or enthusiasm for. So here goes the projects I need to finish.

Framed in time...

I was able to get this piece framed in time for Easter. It will be a great addition to my LHN wall in my living room.
