Izaiah turns 1!

My grandson Izaiah turned a year old on May 14th and I flew down to San Antonio to share in the festivities. As you can see he had quite the good time. And while he may be too young to remember it we have these photos to share with him when he's older.

Baby Sampler

My baby sampler for Izaiah arrived safe and sound in San Antonio a few days before I did. The "kids" (my son and DIL) were quite anxious to open it.

Wooohooooooo! Yep, that was me yelling with joy. I have finished the baby sampler for my grandson. I love how it turned out and can't wait to see it framed.

Where is Milly?

Wow, has it really been over two weeks since I was last in contact? It's but a blur but I'll try to fill you in on what's been going on in my life.

Hubby and left for San Antonio, TX on September 18th to visit our new grandson Izaiah who is now four months old. To say I fell in love at first sight is an understatement (truth is that love was growing from the moment we learned Julie was expecting a baby). Izaiah is a very happy baby, well loved and taken care of and it was a joy spending time with him. I was so moved by how my son has taken to fatherhood and now I can't imagine him any other way. At the moment he is a SAHD and just loving it but plans to go to the police academy in January. Julie is back to work as a registered nurse and we're just so proud of her. Our granddaughter Victoria is such a beautiful young lady and a junior in high school and I was tickled pink that she wanted to spend time with this old gal...LOL! So here are a few fun pictures.

Three months old

Wow, hard to imagine my little grandson Izaiah is now 3 months old. Just one more month before I get to hold him myself and share in the joy and love. Kisses from grandma!

Weekly Update

It sure is hard getting back into the swing of things after a 3-day weekend. We decided to drive south and spend the extended weekend in Monterey, CA. The weather, which we thought might be in the lower 60s, was just awesome with three beautiful, sunny, clear days close to the 70s. We took long walks down Cannery Row and the beach and mostly just absorbed the ambience.

I made some progress on my stitching and this is the progress I've made on the sampler for my grandson. It's going along a little quicker than I expected and my goal is to have it completed by the end of June. I'm also committed to two other SALs so I started Mildred's Garden House with the gals in the Blackbird Designs Yahoo group. For the Little House Needleworks SAL I've decided to work on Sailing, Sailing and hope to start that one later this week.

Update

I don't have much to report as far as stitching since most of it was dedicated to finishing a model I was working on for LHN. I've gone back to the baby sampler I was doing for my grandson Izaiah. The progress is very minimal so I thought I'd share some new pics of Izaiah rather than my stitching. Ain't he adorable? Hey, I'm a proud grandma so I've earned these bragging rights. LOL!

Weekly Update

I was able to get a start on the baby sampler for my grandson and this is what I have so far of For This Child by My Big Toe Design. I spent most of my stitching time this week working on a new model for Little House Needleworks.

Best news of the week is the arrival of my grandson, Izaiah Alexzander who was born on Friday, May 14th at 1:48PM. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 3 oz. As you can see everyone is doing well. Hubby and I hope to make a trip to San Antonio soon to make our acquaintance. Let the spoiling begin!
