Mid-Week Update

It's been a while since I posted and I can't really explain where the time has gone. Hubby and I are doing some some renovations/painting around the house so we've spent the last two weekends going to Lowe's, Home Depot, Best Buy and a few others. In the midst of that our kitchen sink is clogged and hubby can't seem to fix it so we hope the plumber can do something when he comes to the house on Friday. The stuff from under the sink is sitting on the floor and I just hate the clutter.

I have managed to get some stitching done and I finished this cute little piece by Paulette Stewart of Plum Street Samplers called Yankee Poodle. I added Part 7 to my Alla Turca by Pelin Tezer and hope to finish Part 8 by the weekend.
I stitched this Prairie Schooler piece (from the 1997 Just Cross Stitch ornament issue) for an exchange and finished it into an ornament and also finished my Glory piece by San-Man Originals which I stitched earlier this month.

Sunflower Inn FINISHED!

I have finally finished Sunflower Inn by Little House Needleworks. Only need to add some beads to my sunflowers (versus adding the french knots which I'm not good at) and it will be ready to frame. Here are a few pics...sorry for the "leaning" photo. LOL!

I also find time to finish Peace Assisi (by Kirsten Edwards) into a small pillow.
And last, but not least, I want to thank my partner in the Prairie Schooler ornament exchange for the sweet little ornament. Thanks so much April!

Happy Blogiversary!!!

Today I am celebrating my first year as a Blogger. My previous blog was not fulfilling my needs so I came here to try it out and one year later I am happy to say it's been a great journey and learning experience. Not only do I get a chance to share a little about me and my love of stitching but I have made new friends and learned much from them. I want to thank all who have passed through these gates and here is hoping to another great year.
The winner of the drawing of those who left the wonderful comments and well wishes is...

Weekly Update

This week I have two small freebies that I've completed. The first is this darling design, In God We Trust by Paulette Stewart of Plum Street Samplers.

The second is Glory by San-Man Originals.

I also had a chance to upload a few of the photographs hubby and I took last weekend while celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary. You can see photos of our visit to the California State Railroad Museum here:

As well as photos of our Tour of the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield, CA.

This upcoming week I am also celebrating my blogaversary! What an incredible year it has been in sharing my stitching with you and in making new friends as I visit other blogs. Leave a message here if you would like to be included in my giveaway. Just a few goodies to say "thanks" for stopping by.

Happy Anniversary!

This weekend Patrick and I will be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary. It's actually what we call a "double-anniversary" since we went on our first date on July 6, 1990 and married exactly a year later. It's been an incredible 19 years and I pray we have many many more happy ones together. I dug into some old albums and find these.
